Coons at a place called Glenwood.  Here we were counseled to remain until spring as it was too late in the season to cross the plains.  Here I built a good log cabin and corral, thinking that I would be able to sell it for what it cost me as the place was expected to become the county seat, but I was disappointed and only got twenty dollars for the house, lot and corral.  Here my mother (Mary Crookston born Young) was very ill and died."  Any help would be appreciated.
