"Walnut Bureau" (Iowa) Newspapers Online

For those of you researching in east Pottawattamie County Iowa, the Walnut Library now has the "Walnut Bureau" newspaper available for FREE online at http://walnut.advantage-preservation.com/ .  These are searchable and articles can be saved and/or printed.  Check it out!!  Papers begin around 1878 and go through 2013.

If you want to see if another area town might have their newspapers available through the same company, substitute that town name for "walnut" in the above address.  For example:  Fort Dodge would be available at http://fortdodge.advantage-preservation.com/ .

Colleen, I have posted an ad in reference to the Orphan Train that stopped in Oakland in 1904. It is under the tab "Blog/News." Let me know if that is what you were wanting to look for. Barb

Would there be an opportunity for me to visit the genie room to search for information about an orphan train stop in Oakland? Thank you!
